In 2022, SCCF celebrated 30 years of serving the community with a public celebration held at the T. Furth Center for Performing Arts at Trine University; At the event, SCCF surprised TLC House Indiana and 29 other local charities with a $10,000 unrestricted operating grant. We are so grateful and honored. Thank you!
Many heartfelt thanks to Fairview Missionary Church for their generous donation of $3,000 of unrestricted funds to TLC House Indiana to help women who are survivors of domestic violence! Their financial contribution will help TLC continue its mission of helping those who are coming out of painful circumstances and building toward a stronger future.
The folks at Angola Walmart donated many key items for TLC’s spring/summer vegetable garden and flower beds that are maintained by women residents living in the safe house. —A very special shout out goes to Walmart employees, Dylan and Julia, for their support and care. We thank you!!
Garden club members from Angola, Garrett and Hamilton collected donations totaling $258 during its annual Spring Fling event; Funds go to TLC House and its mission. Thank you!
The Steuben County REMC Operation Round Up Advisory Board awarded TLC House Indiana with a grant for $1,500 for class tools used in our group therapy and counseling treatment for survivors of domestic violence.
Incredible story of caring during COVID Pandemic:
TLC House Indiana, Angola’s domestic violence shelter placed a “SOS plea for help” on Facebook urgently seeking bedding for sleeping rooms and supplies for residents. We included a photo of the sparse room of metal bunk beds and mattresses, and asked for help. WE GOT HELP! Thank you!
OUR COMMUNITY RESPONSE:
The response from the community was swift and extraordinary; We received urgently needed supplies and now our domestic violence shelter has clean bedding and pillows for its sleeping rooms to cover the up coming holiday season and well into the new year. Additional donations of non-perishable food, canned goods, hygiene products for women and babies and cash donations were received via our website:
